GymnasticsFish Hoek Gymnastics has been running at Fish Hoek Primary School for the past 20 years. The club was started by Mrs Ann King, and is now run by Dorothy Cole, who was a past Gymnast of the club.
Tuesdays OR Thursdays 2.45pm - 3.45pm Cost: R300 per term The classes are a mixed age group from about 6 years to 11 years. In our beginner class we aim to have fun, improve confidence, improve hand eye coordination, teach discipline, increase self-esteem, flexibility, strength and balance. We introduce the children to the apparatus used in Artistic Gymnastics: Floor/ Beam/ Bar and Vault. At this level, the children have the opportunity to compete on 3 “Fun Gym” Levels, and as they pass each level, they are awarded a colour badge. As the children improve we promote them into an intermediate class and later a squad class. Last year Fish Hoek Gymnastics took part in Western Province Trials and 6 of our 8 Gymnasts, from our Squad group, that competed were awarded their Western Province Colours. Fish Hoek Gymnastics is a club that is passionate about Gymnastics and the Gymnasts. We aim to improve your child’s confidence, strength, flexibility, balance, self-esteem, agility, discipline and coordination. Gymnastics is an amazing sport that will help children in many different ways and Fish Hoek Gymnastics caters for different needs. We welcome the child that just needs to do some fun good exercise, to improve their muscle tone, coordination and self-esteem. Gymnastics is also a great foundation for any other sport and we have seen many children go on to excel at other sports. And for those who are really serious about Gymnastics, we aim to give them the opportunity to excel as Gymnasts. For more info contact: Dorothy Cole +27 83 461 9199 www.dotcole.com
