Netball
Netball is an extremely popular sport amongst our girls at Fish Hoek Primary. Girls can start Netball in Grade 1 as we offer Mini-Netball (U7- and U8 age groups).
Teams start playing matches at an U9 level. We have A, B and even C sides in our U9 - U13 age groups. At present we enter our A sides in league matches, but this will change in the not too distant future. Our B and C sides are however also given the opportunity to play matches.
We are most fortunate to have very experienced and dedicated coaches who regularly attend training courses throughout the season. This ensures that we continue to maintain a high standard of Netball at our school.
Our girls compete in Western Province and various circuit and district trials throughout the season and fair very well against strong opposition. As well as playing league matches on a weekly basis our teams compete in various tournaments (Action Netball included).
We are fortunate to have four netball courts which enables our teams to have practices almost every afternoon. Girls are therfore able to participate in more than one winter sport.
Our girls display great enthusiasm and dedication and really enjoy playing netball at our school.
