Tennis
Mini tennis is played by Grade 3 and 4 children. They are taught the skills needed to be able to play on a tennis court.
Tennis is for Grade 5, 6 and 7 children. Tennis is divided into 2 sections – team tennis and social tennis.
Non-team tennis is more social. The children are taught how to hit a ball, serve and score in a game. They play amongst themselves and those showing improvement are encouraged to challenge the team members.
Team tennis is for competent players. The teams are chosen by using a ladder system and children challenge for positions in the team. We have 2 teams and matches against other schools are played on a Friday, at home and away.
